By placing an order with AJ Collection LLC , DBA The Collection By AJ , you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to protect both you as the customer and our business. Please read carefully before making a purchase.
1. Shipping & Pickup Agreement
By purchasing from our store, you agree to our Shipping & Pickup Policies, which include:
Processing & Shipping Times:
Ready-to-Ship Items: Processing takes 3 business days unless using Zelle, which allows same-day processing.
Preorder Items: Processing takes 3-4 business days, unless using Zelle for same-day processing.
Shipping Estimates: Standard shipping takes 7-8 business days, and economy shipping takes 9-12 business days, meaning your total wait time could be 10-15 business days.
Rush Orders: We do not rush orders. Please order accordingly.
Pickup Policy:
Pickup is available Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM in Downtown Houston.
If you fail to show up for pickup and have not prepaid, your order will be canceled within 48 hours—we do not hold orders.
If you prepaid and do not pick up within 72 hours, we will automatically ship your items to the address on file.
For security reasons, all transactions are recorded, and customers must sign a contract at pickup confirming receipt of their order.
If you cannot make your pickup time, please reach out via email to arrange a different time. As I am pregnant with twins, I ask that you respect my time as I will always respect yours.
2. Product Disclaimer
Raw Hair Variations: You acknowledge that raw hair bundles may vary in texture, color, and wave pattern from the photos due to the nature of raw, unprocessed hair. No two bundles will be identical, and slight differences in shade and curl pattern are normal.
No Returns or Refunds: Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. There are no returns or refunds on any item, including Collection by AJ preorder items.
3. Payment Verification & Order Security
Fraud Prevention: All orders go through CVV verification and AVS (Address Verification System) postal verification to ensure secure transactions.
High-Risk Orders: If your order is flagged as high risk or canceled, we will reach out via email or text and give you the option to:
Complete your order through an alternative secure payment method (Zelle).
Provide ID verification to confirm your identity.
If you choose not to proceed, your order will be canceled and refunded.
4. Disputes & Chargebacks
Fraudulent Disputes: If a chargeback or dispute is filed and is found to be fraudulent, we reserve the right to pursue legal action to the fullest extent of the law.
Product-Related Disputes: If you claim a product is faulty but have not reached out to us first to resolve the issue, and instead file a chargeback or dispute, we reserve the right to pursue legal action. We encourage all customers to contact us first to address any concerns before escalating matters with their bank.
6. Order Cancellations & Changes
Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed or modified. Please double-check all details before confirming your purchase.
Cancellations are not accepted once processing has started. If you request a cancellation before processing begins, you may be eligible for a refund minus a 10% restocking fee to cover transaction processing costs.
7. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Once your package is shipped, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or delayed packages. If an issue arises, please contact the shipping carrier (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.) directly to file a claim.
If your package is marked as delivered but you have not received it, you must contact the carrier to resolve the issue. We do not replace or refund lost or stolen orders.
If your package arrives damaged, please reach out to the carrier first, then email us with photos so we can assist you in filing a claim.
8. Custom Orders & Special Requests
Custom orders (wigs, special textures, etc.) require full payment upfront and are final sale. No changes or refunds will be made once production begins.
Processing and shipping times for custom orders will vary and will be provided to you upon ordering.
9. Hair Care & Maintenance Disclaimer
We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper care, dyeing, bleaching, excessive heat use, or incorrect installation.
Raw hair requires maintenance! You are responsible for following proper hair care instructions to maintain the quality and longevity of your bundles.
Refunds or exchanges will not be issued due to improper maintenance, shedding, or tangling resulting from poor care.
10. Contact & Customer Service Response Time
All customer service inquiries must be sent via email or website contact form—DMs on social media will not be accepted for order-related concerns.
Please allow 24-48 business hours for a response.
Disrespectful or aggressive communication will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who engages in inappropriate behavior.
11. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any allergic reactions, scalp conditions, or hair issues that result from the use of our products. It is the customer’s responsibility to perform a strand test before applying any chemicals or installing extensions.
We are not responsible for any professional or non-professional installation issues, including but not limited to incorrect installation, damage caused by hairstylists, or improper removal of hair extensions.
12. Intellectual Property & Content Use
All product images, videos, branding, and content on our website and social media are the exclusive property of the collection by AJ. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without written permission.
Customers featured on our social media grant us permission to use their images/videos for promotional purposes. If you do not want your content shared, please email us before purchase to opt out.
13. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. This includes but is not limited to customers who:
Violate our terms and conditions.
Engage in fraud, chargeback abuse, or disputes without first contacting us.
Use disrespectful or aggressive communication toward our team.
14. Tax & Import Duties (For International Customers, If Applicable)
Customers are responsible for any applicable customs fees, import duties, or taxes. We do not cover or refund these costs.
If an international order is refused or returned due to unpaid duties, the customer is responsible for reshipping fees or will receive a partial refund minus shipping costs.
15. Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events)
We are not responsible for shipping delays, lost packages, or business interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
Natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes).
Shipping carrier delays (USPS, FedEx, UPS issues).
Supplier or manufacturing delays.
Pandemics, public health emergencies, or government-imposed restrictions.
